Let Em In (Jimi Bazzouka Edit) — Paul McCartney
NEWMAN: (peering at bottle label) What is this ‘MI, ten cents’?
KRAMER: That’s Michigan. In Michigan you get ten cents.
NEWMAN: Ten cents!?
KRAMER: Yeah.
NEWMAN: Wait a minute. You mean you get five cents here, and ten cents there. You could round up bottles here and run ‘em out to Michigan for the difference.
KRAMER: No, it doesn’t work.
NEWMAN: What d’you mean it doesn’t work? You get enough bottles together…
KRAMER: Yeah, you overload your inventory and you blow your margins on gasoline. Trust me, it doesn’t work.
JERRY: (re-entering) Hey, you’re not talking that Michigan deposit bottle scam again, are you?
KRAMER: No, no, I’m off that.
NEWMAN: You tried it?
KRAMER: Oh yeah. Every which way. Couldn’t crunch the numbers. It drove me crazy.
JERRY: (leaving) You two keep an eye on each other?
NEWMAN/KRAMER: (simultaneous) No problem. You bet.
Jerry exits, shaking his head.(via The Bottle Deposit 1)

it doesn’t happen often, masha Allah, but it was just one of those days…
if i could tally all the songs i’ve ever listen to, and the number of times i’ve listen to each, this would be for sure my number one (followed closely by the entire in rainbows album). once, i even went as far as to stencil some of the lyrics on my wall… ah, to be a young hipster…. anyways, i still love this song (the video is meh)
fact:
en el 2004 fui a ver a BSS en Utrecht, NL, al el primer show de la gira de “you forgot it in people”. habia 35 gentes presentes, de los cuales 11 eran de BSS… llego un momento que pidieron “requests” y yo pedi esta rola….. the rest is history.
“Timo Arnall, known from the mesmorizing Visualizing the Readable Volume in the Field of a RFID Reader project, made a video demonstrating a simple way of visualizing the pervasiveness of wireless technology in our physical environment. Wireless hotspots are overlaid as transparent circles into urban spaces (and, if I am not mistaken, Brussels airport).
The ongoing theme in his work is to make invisible wireless technologies visible, ranging from Oyster cards to mobile phones and wireless routers in a multitude of overlapping and competing fields, in order to better understand and communicate with and about them. Using the simple abstraction of a dashed line, specific aspects that are often overlooked, such as the spatial properties of wireless technologies, can be quickly communicated. Timo has been using these images to sensitise designers and students to the spatial and embodied properties of technologies such as RFID, Bluetooth and WiFi.”
